Philosophy:
The Cotton Soft creators were tired of seeing there organic cotton products being made, and the by product and end’s being thrown away. They thought...there must be something this could be used for. From this idea, Cotton Soft Tissue products were born. The idea was to use the off cuts and end’s from normal Organic Cotton production and put them to use to minimise waste.

History and Origin:
Cotton Soft is a division of the Cloudy Bay Company, that produce Organic Cotton products. In the 1990’s, Cloudy Bay thought that the offcuts from the Organic product production should be used, not thrown away, and one bright spark thought about creating organic cotton tissues! No-one else was doing it, and still today they are the only tissues made from organic cotton. Most tissues are made from highly processed wood fibre. In fact, recycling of organic cotton takes much less processing to make paper out of than wood! Cotton Soft tissues have not been genetically modified and are free of chemical pesticides, insecticides and fertilisers and is free from chlorine bleach. Cotton Soft tissues are wonderfully gentle, not abrasive, cleans better, absorbs better and leaves fewer residual fibres on the skin after use.

We love Cotton Soft tissues, the feel, the story and the fact that use is being made of something thast would normally be thrown away!
