Philosophy:
Greenfibres believe in pushing the ecological standards of products such as natural pillows and organic pillows higher all the time and often they are the first to offer them in the UK. Greenfibres appreciate that they need to be aware of their carbon footprint in the way a product such as an organic pillow and natural pillow has been cut, sewn, and trimmed, so with manufacturing facilities in Devon and close co-operation with producers abroad, they are able to influence the production processes to take account of all ethical and ecological issues.

History and Origin:
Greenfibres' owners William Lana and his partner Gabriela worked in the financial industry in London, Frankfurt, New York and Brussels. In the early 90's they realised it was vital people to change their habits and become more eco-focused.  They launched Greenfibres in 1996 in Greenwich, London, with a mission that the textile industry must clean up its act.

William Lana was appointed chair of the Soil Association Textile Standards Committee in 2002. He has helped to develop the UK organic textile industry by his talks at conferences and providing advice and guidance to a range of companies.

Greenfibres have manufacturing facilities producing organic textile products like natural pillows and organic pillows just outside Plymouth, UK,  and work closely with several small manufacturing operations in different parts of Europe.

Greenfibres is licensed by the Soil Association, and all products such as their natural pillows and organic pillows arelabelled certified organic. Greenfibres is also a member of the Organic Trade Association, the Organic Fiber Council, the International Association for Natural Textiles, the Ethical & Environmental Marketing Group and the Organic Trade Group.

Why We Chose Them:
William Lana, the founder of Greenfibres, has been an inspiration for So Organic. Greenfibres was started in Greenwich in 1996, 9 years before So Organic, and have been true pioneers, and William Lana is seen by the So Organic team as an inspiration. Their natural pillows and organic pillows are of industry leading quality.

Who Would Like Them?
Any adult that suffers from poor sleep, neck ache, or ongoing upper back problems. Organic pillows and natural pillows are also great for people with allergies, as dust mites cannot live in them!
