History and Origin:
Organic Blue began in 1999, when its founder Ashwin Mehta, discovered that it was impossible to find truly natural body care that had sufficient range, quality ingredients or met with his personal beliefs.  Ashwin is from an Indian family, although he was raised in the UK and is a true fusion of East and West. His family has a strong tradition of Jainism, an ancient Indian philosophy based on respect for all life, including animals. This is why the Organic Blue range is careful to make products free from animal ingredients, which are suitable for Vegans.  During his childhood, Ashwin’s Mother and Grandmother’s home medicine cabinets were also filled with Indian herbs to make ayurvedic recipes to help with family ailments and this influenced the choice of traditional Indian ingredients such as Neem in the Organic Blue range.

Certifications:
All of the products are registered with the Vegan Society, and the Massage Oils and Mood Blends are certified organic by the Soil Association. The Men’s range and Body care range do not have any independent certification but they do use organic ingredients and are completely free from parabens, sls, mineral oil, synthetic colour or fragrance.
