Oats have traditionally been used to help sensitive and irritated skin conditions such as eczema, and the soft texture of these ground oats will exfoliate skin very gently without being abrasive. Just use them as a morning face wash, or use as a base for a home made mask. Hedgerow Herbals products rely as much as possible on the herbs themselves to provide the qualities of each product. All products are handmade using only basic machines to help blend, mix and pack them. Simple processes are used to leave the herbal ingredients as unaltered as possible. All products are 100% Vegetarian, no animal ingredients are used except honey and goat milk (in a few products) which are products naturally produced by animals without causing them harm.

Add enough water to one teaspoon of grains to make a paste in the palm of your hands. Rub onto your skin with gentle circular strokes. Rinse off with cool water and pat dry with a soft towel. Mask: For a special treat add a drop of olive or almond oil, a dab of honey or yoghurt. Massage into skin and leave for up to 10 minutes as a gentle exfoliating face mask.
