Madara philosophy is of beauty that is deeper than the skin. They believe that beauty goes beyond external appearances, and is more about the complete package of health, love of life, warmth and summer, something you carry with you and is seen by everyone you meet on your way. Beauty is about your genuine emotions, a sincere smile, being kind and loving towards fellow humans and nature. It is about femininity and beauty in its deepest, purest sense.

History and Origin:
To understand Madara, you have to understand the people and the place it comes from. The Madara brand was created by Lotte, Zane, Paula and Liene in  Latvia, not a place you would associate with beauty brands!

Launched in 2008, Madara has taken Europe by storm. It has won design awards and plaudits for the beauty of the products, and their effectiveness. Madara is one of the first natural and organic certified beauty brands to come out of Latvia, and the Baltic region. However, it is not unsurprising, as the team explain; ‘For generations, people created their own beauty products from the purest herbs from the land.

Only in the last few years have we been able to take this and make the beauty of the region accessible to the rest of Europe.’

Why We Chose Them:
We love Madara products, and their lovely consistency. The purifying foam is the best cleanser we have found for dry skin. The philosophy is great, and the people behind the company so warm and gentle, it is inspirational.
