Every season there are a new bunch of players on the fashion circuit bringing out organic, ethical and eco friendly lines. More and more designers and retailers are listening our eco savvy purses choice by making clothes that are ethically made and have taken the earth's resources into consideration. That pretty much means going Fairtrade, organic or recycled.

Here's our pick of some of our favourite fashion ‘extra' conscious brands.

Cornwall-based Seasalt was the first British organic cotton brand to be certified by the Soil Association. They make comfortable, affordable and pretty (in an unfussy kind of way) casual/beach wear. We love that their clothes come with complementary organic cotton seeds so that you can grow your own flowering cotton plants. They are really hard wearing too - Sam has several of their sweat shirts and swears by them.

Kuyichi (coo-yee-chee) is an ethical jeans brand for the style conscious. They create organic and fairtrade clothes that you might find equally as likely in a street magazine like ID or Vogue, it's a cool, versatile range with pieces to pick for any style.

If you're look for something original and unique Si:Su is great little brand that uses only recycled materials to create it's beautiful pieces (like the dress above). All parts of the clothing is 100% recycled including the thread and buttons. The Si:Su line brings together nostalgic, simple and natural elements for everyday wear whilst the Bijou range is all about the special occasion with silks, embroidery, vintage ribbons and lace. Romantic and feminine no two items in this range are quite the same.

Others we like are Howies, People Tree and BAM.
