There's a brand new wedding show in town and it was created especially for all the green blushing brides to be. The first Eco Chic Wedding & Home Show will showcase everything you could possibly need to plan your wedding in an eco-friendly and ethical fashion.

Katie Fewings, director of Ethical Weddings (an online eco wedding magazine) and Kate Haines, founder of GreenFinder (an online green pages directory) are the two eco chics behind the show. Having done the research for their own green weddings they seem to have an eye for knowing where to find all the things an green bride would desire - wedding dresses, rings, photographers, flowers, gifts, honeymoon destinations, venues, cakes - all eco-conscious suppliers.

If you're not getting married anytime soon but you know someone who is and they're not yet hooked into the idea of colouring their wedding green this might just be your ticket to get them interested. One reason - it's held at the stunning grounds of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouse. There will also be home and lifestyle exhibitors displaying their eco-friendly homewards and other eco innovations so everyone has the chance to shop.

If you can't make it to Birmingham you can get some valuable information from green wedding books. GreenGuide for Weddings is a brand new book by Jen Marsden with the foreword by Katie Fewings.

The show will be held on Sunday 8 March from 11am-4pm. Tickets are £8 and are available from the website or by calling 0121 454 1860.
